LGB 55025 Point Motor Decoder:

LGB 55025 decoder is designed for use with DCC digital systems.

Maximum load per output 1.5 Amp.

Total maximum load 3 Amps.

The decoder is connected to the track and draws its voltage from the operating digital system.

In order to be able to program the decoder, connect a LGB 12010 point motor to Output A, and make an electrical link between the two connections marked ‘Prog’.

The link must be maintained for the duration of the programming procedure, and then removed for the correct operation of the decoder.

1. Connect LGB 12010 and decoder.

2. Bridge the Prog connections with a link wire.

3. Program CV 1 with the desired address.

To use two EPL drives simultaneously using one terminal of the 55025 Point Motor Decoder, increase the impulse time to 1 second.

To do so, program the function value for the terminal (CV 2-5, depending on whether you want to use terminal 1, 2, 3 or 4 in this manner) to 7.

Whist the 55025 decoder best known primary function is operate LGB 12010 point motors, and secondary using LEDs or Lamps, with ingenuity an assortment of devices can be connected. 

There are two LGB 55025 Switch decoders installed on the garden railway, one to serve the Phase 5 extension, with address range 5 to 8.

Address's 5 & 6 to operate two point motors, address's 7 & 8 for an On/Off switch circuit, for future use.


The other is installed for use on the Phase 4 extension, assigned address's 21 to 24, all configured as On/Off, for future use.
