LGB 55025 Point Motor Decoder:

First published 12/01/2022, revised and updated.

LGB 55025 decoder is designed for use with DCC digital systems.

Maximum load per output 1.5 Amp.

Total maximum load 3 Amps.

The decoder is connected to the track and draws its voltage from the operating digital system.

In order to be able to program the decoder, connect a LGB 12010 point motor to Output A, and make an electrical link between the two connections marked ‘Prog’.

The link must be maintained for the duration of the programming procedure, and then removed for the correct operation of the decoder.

1. Connect LGB 12010 and decoder.

2. Bridge the Prog connections with a link wire.

3. Program CV 1 with the desired address.

Address range for CV 1.

To use two EPL drives simultaneously using one terminal of the 55025 Point Motor Decoder, increase the impulse time to 1 second.

To do so, program the function value for the terminal (CV 2-5, depending on whether you want to use terminal 1, 2, 3 or 4 in this manner) to 7.

Created a Revised Massoth Service Tool decoder template.

Whist the 55025 decoder best known primary function is operate LGB 12010 point motors, and secondary using LEDs or Lamps, with ingenuity an assortment of devices can be connected.

Examples as below.

Single SPST Relay, operated by LGB 55025 decoder on Address 28.

Two 24V DPDT, connected to the LGB 55025 decoder, operating on Addresses 27 and 28.

Opto Coupled MOSFET Module, connected to the  LGB 55025 decoder on Address 28.

Modified Servo Tester, LGB 55025 decoder, operated by Address 28.
